WordDrift ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App") and related services.
By accessing and using WordDrift, you agree to be bound by all the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly
Authentication Data:
- Name and email address (when you sign in via Google, Apple, or Facebook)
- Apple ID, Google account identifier, or Facebook user ID
- Authentication credentials and tokens
- Guest/anonymous session token (if you play without signing in)
In-App Purchases:
- Purchase history and transaction data (processed through Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and RevenueCat)
- Payment information is handled securely by the respective app stores — we do not store payment card details
- Subscription status and entitlements managed via RevenueCat
Advertising:
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, Android Advertising ID on Android) — collected only with your consent
- Ad interaction data (processed through Google AdMob)
- On iOS, we request your permission via the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt before accessing your IDFA
Game Data:
- Game progress, scores, and statistics
- Word game history and results
- User preferences and settings
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Gameplay analytics and session information
- Device information (device type, OS version, App version)
- Crash logs and error reports
- IP address and approximate location (city-level)
- Device identifiers (IDFA, Android Advertising ID)
This information is collected through Firebase Analytics, Google AdMob, and in-app telemetry. Device identifiers are only used for advertising purposes with your consent.

4. Ad Consent and Tracking
iOS — App Tracking Transparency (ATT): On iOS 14.5 and later, we ask for your permission via a system prompt before accessing your IDFA for ad personalization. If you decline, only non-personalized ads are shown.
EEA / GDPR — Consent (UMP): If you are located in the European Economic Area or other regions with consent requirements, we present a consent form (Google's User Messaging Platform) before serving personalized ads. You may change your ad preferences at any time through your device settings.
You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time via: iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID.
5. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:

6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure authentication, and limited access to personal data. No method of transmission is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information as long as necessary to maintain your account and comply with legal requirements. You can request account deletion, and your data will be removed within 30 days.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data with service providers (bound by confidentiality agreements), for legal compliance, or in business transfers.

WordDrift is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
